Ruling New Patriotic party’s Constituency youth organizer for Daboya/Mankaarigu in the Savanna Region appeared to have raffled feathers with his recently held press conference calling for the head of DCE for the North Gonja, Hon. Adam Eliasu Red Bawa.
Ibrahim Al – Amin during the said the conference appealed that Hon Red bawa not be retained as DCE citing what he called was his inability to unite the people and develop the human resource of the area.
The organizer claimed during the conference that he was re – echoing the views of several youth groups who expressed their dissatisfaction with the DCE following a consultative meeting he held with them.
But a coalition of youth groups in the constituency have come out to deny his claims, saying no meeting was held with the youth leaders and that he indulged in a dishonest adventure with his press conference.
The group has instead throw their weight behind the re-appointment of Hon. Red Bawa, saying his sterling leadership led to the party’s impressive in both presidential and parliamentary polls during the last the general elections
Apparently outraged by Mr. Al – Amin’s actions, the group has now written to the party demanding his suspension and possible removal from office.
In a petition signed by some 400 members and addressed to the party’s constituency chairperson, the youth described the action of their leader as misrepresentation of their interest.
They also say his conduct is in breach of the regulations that govern his office as he is believed to have used his position to pursue personal interest instead of the larger interest of the party.
They have therefore called for disciplinary action against him, saying his conduct if left unchecked will cause disunity within the party and erode the gains made during the last elections.
