Electoral Commission Statement

Ghana’s Electoral Commission has  extended 5pm deadline set for the declaration of the Presidential Results for Election 2020. The Electoral body had set a 24-hour deadline for announcement of election results but has had to extend the time at the last minute for what it said was to ensure the results to be declared is accurate.

“To ensure the collation of election results  at the constituency and regional and regional collation centers across the country is accurate, the EC extends its intended timeline for deckaring of the 2020 Presidential election results,” a statement from the electoral body stated, adding that a new time was going to be communicated “shortly”.
