New Patriotic Party’s Parliamentary Candidate for Karaga has launched an initiative known as Anta Skills & Development Programme which is aimed at supporting the youth of the constituency to undergo vocational and hand skills training.
According to Hon. Mohammed Amin Adam Anta, the scheme will also ensure support for people who graduated from hand skills training but have no requisite capital to start their own enterprises.
At a ceremony over the weekend to launch the initiative, Hon. Adam Amin, a former mayor of Tamale, presented 30 showing machines and 20 hair dryers to first batch of beneficiaries of the scheme who passed out recently from learning dressmaking and hairdressing.
The Parliamentary candidate during the event told the people that his gesture was in fulfilment of a pledge he made in times past that he will institute a support mechanism for all young people undergoing training in hand skills development.
He diaclosed that more initiatives aimed at enhancing the socio – economic lives of the people were in the pipeline as he made known his intention to support two thousand women farmers in the next farming season.

Hon. Adam Amin Anta who is also deputy energy Minister since declaring his intention to contest the Karaga parliamentary seat has rolled out several interventions aimed at transforming the lives of his comstituents.
He has overseen the expansion of electricity, drilled over seventy mechanised boreholes to improve access to potable water, constructed schools, build roads, overseen the construction of first astro-turf pitch in the area and only recently launched a scholarship fund to put brilliant – but – needy students through school.
