
Police in Tamale have arrested a 38-year-old suspect for unlawful possession of firearms and alleged involvement in a robbery incident at Tema in the Greater Accra Region.
Alhassan Imrani was picked up around 11: 50 hours on Saturday, September 5 by the Tamale Divisional Police Command upon a tip-off and following correspondence received from their counterparts in Tema of the suspect involvement in a car snatching incident.

A source at the Tamale Divisional Police Command reveals that search conducted at suspects Banvim residence retrieved three pistols, one AK47 assault rifle, one G3 empty magazine, Four mobile phones, One HP laptop, six registered number plates, a plier, 98-auto45 live ammunitions, 165 auto389 live ammunition, four pistol empty catridges and a Toyota highlander vehicles with registration number GW 3241-20.

The Police say further enquiries extended to a spraying shop found another ash Toyota highlander vehicle with its front and rear bumpers removed with the vehicle believed to have been snatched at gunpoint by the suspects and his cohorts in Tema.
Suspect Alhassan Imrani has been kept in police custody to aid in further investigations whilst items found in his possession will be used as evidence.
