After persistent pleas from residents of Malshegu in the Sagnarigu Constituency, the MP, Hon. A. B. A. Fuseini has facilitated the construction of three bedroom apartment to serve as accommodation facility for workers at the Malshegu CHPS Compound.
The project which is completed, pending a handing over ceremony is personally funded by the lawmaker and is expected to improve health delivery as the CHPS compound will now be able to render 24-hour services to the people.
The Member of Parliament during a tour to some communities, inspected the building and expressed satisfaction, saying the project will enhance delivery of health services to the people of Malshegu and adjoining communities.
The Assembly woman for the Malshegu electoral area, Bibiana Yakubu Wumpini, on behalf of the community expressed gratitude to the lawmaker, saying his gesture was an indication of his commitment to improving the lives of the people.
The Assembly woman added that the lawmaker’s intervention was timely as it will go a long way to help the people access quality healthcare.
The MP also took time to distribute PPEs including hand sanitisers and nose masks to his constituents with the aim of protecting them against the Coronavirus pandemic.
Women groups, youth groups, party activists and residents of communities such as Kumbuyili, Sorogo, Malshegu and Salamba benefitted from Hon. A. B. A. Fuseini’s COVID-19 package.
Hon. Fuseini who is seeking re-election in this year’s general election also donated a grinding mill to the Salamba women group to help in their Shea processing business.
Leader of the group, M’ma Alhassan Fati spoke of the MP’s intervention, expressing gratitude and adding that the donation of the grinding mill is a huge relief as they will no more have to travel longer distances to process their food.
